Benjamin Simpson runs multimodel.ch as a sole proprietor in Switzerland. He is responsible for your data.

We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where it applies, we also follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your account, conversations and files are stored in Switzerland. Infomaniak hosts the servers. Exoscale stores the backups, also in Switzerland.

When you sign up, we store:

• your email address;
• your first and last name, if you give them;
• your confirmation that you are 18 or older;
• your preferences and settings.

When you sign up and each time you sign in, we also store a device record. It contains a fingerprint made from browser characteristics, the screen size, browser languages, the browser and operating system, and the time zone. We use it only to recognise the devices that sign in to your account. We do not use it to track you on other websites, and we do not share it.

We do not ask for your location.

There is no password. Each sign-in code or link works once, and only for a short time.

We store your prompts, the models' answers, the files you attach and the images you generate. This lets you return to them later.

For each answer, we also store the model, the token counts and the cost.

You can give details about yourself for the models to use as context. We store these details with your account. A model hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland prepares them.

We do not use your conversations to train models. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

To answer a prompt, we send it to the models you chose. We also send the conversation so far and any files you attached.

Each model's host receives this data under its own jurisdiction:

• Infomaniak, Switzerland: open-weight models;
• Mistral AI, France;
• OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and xAI, United States;
• Stability AI, United Kingdom: image generation.

The Models page shows the host of every model. A prompt leaves Switzerland only when you send it to a model hosted elsewhere.

Switzerland recognises the United Kingdom and France as providing adequate data protection. It recognises the United States only for companies certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Where a provider is not certified, we rely on the standard contractual clauses in its API terms.

Each provider's own API terms decide what that provider keeps.

Voice input goes to the host of the transcription model in the same way.

Our server logs store the model, the token counts, the timing and whether a request succeeded. They never store what you wrote or what a model answered.

You top up your credit by Swiss mobile payment, arranged directly with us.

To add the credit, we take a screenshot of the payment. It shows the payer's phone number, the amount and your email address. The payer can be someone other than you. We record these details with your account and then delete the screenshot from the payment device.

We keep payment records for as long as Swiss bookkeeping law requires, even after your account is closed.

We send you sign-in codes and links. We also send notices about your account and about changes to these pages. We send no other email.

One cookie keeps you signed in.

Your browser also stores your language, and whether you have signed in on this device before.

There are no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies and no analytics.

We use your account, conversations and files to provide the service you signed up for. We use device records and server logs to keep the service secure. We keep payment records because the law requires it.

• Conversations and files: until you delete them. You can also set them to delete automatically. We remove deleted data within 24 hours.
• Account and device records: while your account is open. After you close it, we delete them within 30 days.
• Payment records: as long as Swiss bookkeeping law requires, also after your account is closed.
• Backups: we make one every day and delete backups older than 14 days. Data you delete can remain in a backup until then.
• Web server logs, including IP addresses: 14 days.

You can ask us to:

• show you your data;
• correct it;
• export it;
• delete it;
• limit how we use it, or stop using it.

You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

multimodel.ch is for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly store data about anyone younger.

The date at the top shows the last change. For an important change, we email you at least 14 days before it takes effect.
